At Movera, we’re on a mission to make home moving faster, smoother, and smarter. That’s why we’re excited to join the Open Property Data Association. An organisation dedicated to setting standards for technology, data, and interoperability in the property market.
We’re revolutionising the home-moving experience, by providing digital tools and services that help make the homebuying process something to be celebrated – not tolerated. By integrating with OPDA’s open data standards, we aim to enhance transparency, reduce administrative burdens, and create a faster, more customer-friendly transaction process.
A growing list of organisations join the OPDA underscoring the industry’s momentum.
Major mortgage lenders NatWest Group, HSBC Nationwide and Lloyds Banking Group joined last year, alongside members such as Atom Bank, MAB, and Coadjute. The addition of us further strengthens OPDA’s drive for open standards, trust and greater transparency in property transactions.
The UK Government’s recent commitment to digitising the homebuying process reinforces the urgency of these advancements. Together with the OPDA, we’re urging the Government to follow through on its pledge.
As the first industry-wide initiative of its kind, OPDA has already delivered open property data standards that enable trustable and efficient sharing of data. These free, open-source tools, developed in collaboration with industry stakeholders have demonstrated significant efficiencies. Organisations using OPDA’s data standards for digital property packs have seen the timeline from mortgage offer to exchange of contracts shrink to as little as 15 days.
Andrew Taylor, our Chief Technology Officer, said:
“Joining OPDA represents a significant milestone in our mission to simplify and streamline the home-moving process. We are committed to leveraging technology to create a more seamless and transparent experience for homebuyers. By working alongside OPDA and its members, we aim to accelerate the adoption of digital services that will drive greater efficiency and improve customer outcomes across the industry. With OPDA’s framework, we can ensure that critical property data is accessible, accurate, and secure, which will benefit both customers and industry professionals alike.”
Maria Harris, Chair of OPDA, said:
“Movera’s membership is another step forward in transforming the home-buying process. Their expertise in streamlining transactions and commitment to innovation aligns perfectly with OPDA’s goals. Along with the work of our other members, Movera will help drive the adoption of open data standards, reducing inefficiencies and improving what is currently a frustrating experience for homebuyers.”
By collaborating with OPDA we’re accelerating digital adoption, boosting efficiency, and driving better outcomes for our people, partners, and clients. Exciting times ahead!
