Meet Tom, who began his journey at Movera in the Client Success Team, where he spent eight months learning the ins and outs of supporting clients and the processes that underpin property law. Tom’s goal was always to become a property lawyer, and with experience in residential conveyancing, the Property Lawyer Training Academy offered the perfect next step to reach that ambition.

Tom credits these interactions with accelerating his development and building his confidence.
Now signed off, Tom values the independence and responsibility of managing his own caseload. He enjoys being self-sufficient and seeing the direct results of his work. His biggest challenge has been paying attention to the fine details property law requires, but with targeted feedback and persistence, he quickly refined his skills and secured sign-offs across the majority of tasks.
The Academy also arrived at the right time in Tom’s life. Having worked full-time since the age of 17 in demanding roles, he had built self-reliance and resilience, and felt ready for a challenge that would set him up for the future. Being part of a group of eight trainees not only offered shared learning, but also built a sense of community and strong new relationships.
Tom describes the experience as refreshing and motivating. The interactive teaching style, regular feedback and step-by-step build-up of knowledge made the process both enjoyable and challenging.
