Nick Hale

Chief Executive Officer

Nick knows how to scale businesses. Before joining us in 2022, he grew the European side of a Palo Alto start-up from 15 – 600 people in just three years. His deft handling of the Ventures portfolio at BT saw the team grow to c3,500 people, while achieving double-digit profit growth beyond £200 million annually.

James Argyle

Chief Financial Officer

Jim’s background as a chartered accountant has seen him take on an investment role at Bank of Scotland’s Integrated Finance Division, before becoming Group CFO at BWA Water Additives. There, he led the business through two private equity transactions and a trade sale. He’s a natural mentor, and has played a big part in creating our Movera Academy.

Craig Underwood

Group Chief Operating Officer

Craig is a solicitor with a track record of leadership in professional services and the legal sector. He has held senior roles at BGL Group, Capita plc, and a number of large scale Legal firms. Craig also specialises in professional regulation, sitting on the Law Society’s Professional Standards and Ethics Committee, ensuring Movera maintains industry-leading standards for partners and clients.

Andrew Taylor

Chief Technology Officer

Since 2018, Andrew has overseen our development, infrastructure and security teams. His work has given us the capability to deliver efficient and secure conveyancing services across the UK. Andrew has over 25 years’ experience working in IT, including 15 years in the Legal technology space.

Claire Smith

Chief People Officer

Claire joined us in October 2023. She started life as a Solicitor before moving into Business Development holding senior roles at Pannone LLP, QualitySolicitors and Moneypenny. Her previous role as People and Culture Director at Mortgage Advice Bureau saw her clinch external recognition at the Business Culture Awards in 2021, 2022 and 2023. She has a track record for having a positive impact on culture and employee engagement. With a real passion for people, she is focused on creating an amazing place to work for all.

Mark Tosetti

Partnerships Director

Mark has decades of experience helming major development projects at the likes of DLA Piper, Capita, and Optima Legal. His area of expertise is leading growth strategies for tech-led remortgaging, conveyancing and home-moving services across B2B and B2C markets. Since joining us in early 2023, he’s guided our partnership strategy across all our brands.

Tom Cooke

Strategy Director

After training as a chartered accountant at Deloitte, Tom specialised in mergers and acquisitions. Over his career, he’s advised a wide range of privately owned and private equity backed businesses. This experience made him the perfect lead for our special projects team, where he oversaw our first series of integrations. Now, he’s stepped up to shape our wider strategy.

Conveyancing

With well over 200 legal professionals specialising in Conveyancing, we’re able to provide specialist legal advice on leasehold, freehold, buy to let and remortgage transactions. The Movera platform provides automation for simple tasks, allowing our Case Managers to spend their time on the complex legal work and looking after their clients.

Technology

The Movera Platform is primarily developed in house by a 30+ team of experienced Case Management and Integration developers. Across our business we deliver digital first experience for lenders, brokers and clients. Our Data team embed a Data Driven business through clear insights and outcomes. The Movera technology team work collaboratively with each business area and weigh partners with the clear objective, to improve the moving experience.

Private Client

Our legal services expertise extends beyond Conveyancing with a team of Solicitors specialising in Wills & Probate, Dispute Resolution, Leasehold Enfranchisement & Commercial property. The Private Client team can support our clients well beyond the move, helping secure our clients home for the future.
