Christine's Story

What’s your role?

I manage our 18-strong, post-completion team. We submit all the property registrations to the Land Registry on behalf of our Property Lawyers.

What are the opportunities for career progression like?

I’ve been here for over 22 years, starting as a secretary. The opportunities for progress and development have been excellent. I didn’t go to university. Instead, my first job was at another company as a junior opening the post, and I then moved here. After I had my three children, I went part-time and graduated towards being a case manager. I’ve always been open to learning and Movera has supported me.

Is it true that there’s some sleuthing involved in your job?

Yes, it’s a bit like being a detective! I love all the different scenarios, solving problems, unpicking things and putting them back together.

As a mum, have you found Movera to be family-friendly?

The company is very accommodating to parents with families. When my children were younger, I always felt able to ask if I could swap my days around and they were really helpful. There’s lots of flexibility in how you work.
