“The environment and people are fantastic. Everyone is approachable, there’s no politics going on. I could go up to anyone and say, ‘I need help’ and they’ll help if they can, or point me in the right direction. Everyone will help everyone.”

James's Story

What is your role?

I help, develop and support people in my team, and provide training.

Why did you return to Movera?

I’ve been here this time around for nearly 10 years. I came back because I knew lots of people and there was the opportunity for good career progression with help and support, to do what I wanted to do.  My goal was to be a case manager, which was a higher position than when I left. I got this position straight away. I qualified as a legal executive through the Institute of Legal Executives around six years ago, and I’m currently going through the work to become a Fellow.

What do you take the most pride in?

Training and developing my team. From my Scouting background, I get a lot of personal joy from seeing people develop and grow. Two people in my team were promoted to senior property lawyers recently and I took a lot of pride in that.

What do you see as the next steps in your career?

My immediate goal is to continue to grow my team and develop. I want to get involved in more projects in the firm and develop the firm in different ways. One of the projects is revamping how we deal with leasehold properties and the management companies, which is exciting.

What is it like working at Movera?

The environment and people are fantastic. Everyone is approachable, there’s no politics going on. I could go up to anyone and say, ‘I need help’ and they’ll help if they can, or point me in the right direction. Everyone will help everyone.
