What does your role involve?
I manage clients and take them on from the point of instruction. I carry through the conveying of the legal title, deal with the searches, and the mortgage offer, and carry the matter through to exchange and completion. A lot of the process is broker-led.
Why did you move to Movera?
I moved here at the beginning of 2024. I wanted to join a firm where I could do case management but to be professionally trained. Even though I’ve only been here a short time, I’ve already had some great training. It’s very reassuring to know that I’m getting the best opportunities to develop my career.
What’s your typical day?
My day is very varied. First, I check emails and action on anything urgent, especially for clients and third parties. I plan my workload so many title checks, so many checks, and progress certain files. A lot of planning and organisation is involved which goes hand-in-hand with the job. Compliance and safety of clients is essential.
What’s it like working in your team?
I love the teamwork here. I work on my cases primarily, but I am part of a great team and there is a lot of support from the team leader and case managers. We help one another when needed. I’ve not experienced this in other firms and it’s lovely. We have a daily stand-up, say 10-15 minutes every morning which is a great opportunity to communicate with each other as a team. There’s a constant flow of support. You don’t feel on your own and there is always someone you can talk to.
Even though I haven’t been here that long, I’ve already had really good feedback on my work from my manager. It’s such a confidence booster.
What was your first day like?
My first day was a meet and greet day and I was introduced well and made to feel so welcome. We met the CEO Nick Hale on a Teams call. It’s such a good culture here, a good vibe. I can’t fault it.
