Cavendish Legal Group are looking to recruit an experienced paralegal or newly qualified solicitor to work within the Dispute Resolution department, based at our Snow Hill Office in Central London, on a full-time basis with flexible home working as an option subject to work requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and successful Dispute Resolution team and work alongside highly experienced Solicitors, who are experts in their field. The Dispute Resolution team has an accomplished record of acting for a full spectrum of national and international clients including individuals, associations and companies in property, landlord and tenant and company/commercial matters.

The Role:

Assisting the Dispute Resolution team on a wide range of contentious matters including: neighbour disputes, boundary disputes, right of light disputes, right of access disputes, construction disputes, possession and eviction claims, covenant enforcement, service charge disputes, disrepair/dilapidations claims, contested lease renewals, contested enfranchisement claims, professional negligence, insolvency, shareholder/director issues, debt collection, contractual disputes.

Day-to-day duties will include:

  • Supporting a senior solicitor with their caseload and depending on experience may manage a personal caseload of files acting as a fee-earner under the supervision of the senior solicitor
  • Dealing directly with clients, solicitors, barristers and court staff
  • Diarising court dates
  • Producing and filing court papers and bundles
  • Attending court
  • Routine correspondence
  • Producing invoices
  • Utilising case management software

 

The Person:

  • Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous experience in property litigation. We will consider candidates who have experience in dealing with civil litigation generally and who are keen to learn
  • Experience producing court bundle
  • Experience attending court desired but not essential.
  • Resilience with the ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Strong problem solving skills, an analytical approach to come to the best legal solutions.
  • Passion for delivering a high level of customer service
  • Enthusiastic team-player and natural self-starter able to work on own initiative

 

This is a full-time, permanent role, Monday to Friday.
