The Trainee Property Lawyer Academy is an 8-week training programme designed for individuals with little to no experience in Conveyancing or the industry. Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to manage a standard Conveyancing transaction from start to finish using a blended learning approach.

We’ll guide you through each step of the legal process, breaking down the tasks, system and processes whilst providing plenty of opportunities for hands-on practice with training files. The program places emphasis on attention to detail and understanding the legal language involved, ensuring you can readily apply your learnings.

Throughout the program, you’ll be set weekly knowledge assessments and system-based tasks to evidence your progress.

Around week six, there will be a final assessment, which includes both a written assessment and a practical exercise, that you will need to pass.

On passing your final assessment, you’ll start to take your own caseload. You’ll need to continue to demonstrate competence by completing live tasks under close supervision. This ensures accuracy and minimises risk to your clients and our company.

After passing the final assessment and completing the initial 8-week training period:

You’ll move on to a Graduation Bay for another 8 weeks. This phase allows you to continue to build your own caseload while reinforcing and refining the skills and knowledge you’ve acquired from your time in the Academy.

On leaving the Academy, you should be managing circa 20 files.
